That was one of the reasons we switched to a mooring and the yacht club
environment. The marina that we had been at for years became "popular" with
a certain sort of boater, and all of a sudden there was a waiting list.
Along with that came a nonchalance about work performed by the yard. When
confronted about mistakes, or poor quality workmanship, they would laugh it
off and refuse to make good. If they didn't feel like performing some type
of work they would quote an exorbitant figure to make you go elsewhere. And
when sailing is supposed to be your "release" from the rest of the daily
crud, who needs problems there?

Ever try dry sailing, or rack-and-launch? It's becoming very popular.

Well now that you mention it, I do need to put the chevy up on blocks
to find the short in the electical system. Must be the rats that ate
the insulation.


Did i mention the 12 foot swimming pool, and Outdoor stero system?

We trailer sailed for many years...it's a PITA....and dry-racking a 32' foot
sailboat to sail every week? Kind of pricey, don't ya think? And then you
don't have the use of your boat any time you want, like those evenings
during the week when we just want to get out of here and drive out for a
quiet evening on the boat....

Yeah sept my boat is to big to fit on a trailor at a cost that not
Crazy. Its unlike your our boxy seidleman trailor sailor.

Bet you 500 bucks I have a better sunset view at my slip than yours .

you want.

Pricey? it's very cheap, here. We have our own launch. Many people
use it for our evening races.
