"katysails" wrote in message ... That is twice the size of our refrigerator!!!! What? You have a box? Our fridge is small....Y think also that you guys grocery shop different;y than we do... we buy a week or two's worth at a time and don't go to the store every day...Don't Europeans buy food almost every day? The older generation in Spain and France still do their shopping daily. However, my generation seems to do a weekly trip to the superstore. You may *think* that your fridge is small, however, by international standards it is enormous. Regards Donal -- |

I have two fridges and a freezer. we drive cars that get 30 mpg my truck gets 5.5 MPG. I burned 600+ galloms of diesel this week. My limo used 650 gallons of premium gas this week. ...we use our air conditioner maybe 5 days a summer we run ours from April ~ Sept. Even cools the deck some with the door open. Same here, and I keep the house around 60, because I don't like my beer getting warm. and never I never use the air conditioner in my car but prefer to have the window open... Too many bugs fly into an open window. I have my showfer drive with the windows open, AND the air on full blast. You don't have a TV? we bought a big screen TV and DVD player this winter. I got a big screen, 2 DVD players, 3 VHS players, and a 1500 watt surround sound system. We have a small set in the living room and then we have the old tv in the family room that we very seldom use except when the grandkids are here and want to play with the Play Station... we have 4 TVs. I do my dishes by hand, don't do dishes, I'm married. di not have an insinkerator or a trash compacter...we recycle all out pop bottles and reuse out plastic milk cartons until they literally are no longer usable... I burn all trash and bury the ashes twice a year. I have four hefty trash bags full of empty beer cans every week. Pathetic Earthlings! No one can save you now! |

That's a very low blow Donal, about what I'd expect from someone who uses a
beach for an ashtray. Scotty "Donal" wrote in message ... "Scott Vernon" wrote in message ... LP asked:
What are the summer temps where you live? katysails wrote: 80's with humidity in the 70's + range.... That's not summer, that's a mild autumn morning. Hopefully, the high cost of air conditioning will drive people to move back up north! We seem to have skipped spring this year. Went from days in 40s (5 degrees C for you civilized folk) to days in the 90s (35 C) in about a week. DSK |

If you don't have at least a small home theater audio system to use when watching movies your missing out on loads of fun. I would say the opposite... if you have nothing better to do than sit at home & be electronically entertained, then you have a pretty empty life. Go for a walk! Go to a concert! Go sailing! If you have to stay home & sit around, read a book. DSK |

I recently read The Shipping News, And the Sea Will Tell, and just finished Hotel New Hampshire (Never read it before!). I still have time to watch a great movie and listen to concerts on my 10K system. You're on a TRAWLER fer cripes sake while we sail. Shut up. RB |
