Do you inspect your pins for wear? I generally replace mine annually if
feasible.

You mean cotter pins, not clevis pins, I assume. The odd thing about cotter
pins in turnbuckles is that they actually aren't needed as long as there's some
tension on the stay. Not that I recommend going for extended periods without
pins, but leaving them out while tuning the rig isn't a problem. If a
turnbuckle is trying to "unwind" you have a problem.

A poor effort, Bob, considering I just posted two pics of me sailing and
went on to discuss conditions in my local area.

Didn't create much dialogue, now did it?
Hmmm. Wonder why?

That's easy.

Everybody believed him!!!

Believed him? What does that have to do with sailing discussion here? I
actually post pics of my boat sailing far more often than anyone here. I
didn't post for most of last summer, yet the rest of you were all very busy
here.
Hmmmm.

You have a point. When Bob said he flew his spinny 5 or 6 times last season,
it was unbelievable. What's also unbelievable is that he and his crew of
waifs and strays are so terrified of it, they wait until the wind drops to 2
knots before they'll risk it.

I posted a pic of my spin flying. Can I see one of yours?

That wasn't 'flying', that was 'hanging limply and looking sorry for
itself'.

Two knots!

Still waiting for a pic of your spin. I sure hope you have one. I'm off for a
sail, but I'll be back later to see your spin.
