Yes.. cotter not clevis.

Mind you I've had to replace many clevis pins due to butter fingered crews
during a mast-stepping.

cotter
| pins in turnbuckles is that they actually aren't needed as long as
there's some
| tension on the stay. Not that I recommend going for extended periods
without
| pins, but leaving them out while tuning the rig isn't a problem. If a
| turnbuckle is trying to "unwind" you have a problem.
