Seattle to Houston is 2500 miles, so no, $10,700 doesn't sound too out of line. over 4 dollars a mile. The escort adds $1-$1.30 per mile. A line haul of $3 per mile for an oversize load is about normal. I assume that's including permits, which some outfits charge $65 per state. Jeeeeezzzzeeee do they send a jar a vasaline with the bill? that would be extra. I'm leaving for Ohio soon, 515 miles, $2000, not wide, no escorts. From my side of the fence, it doesn't seem like enough. ![]() Well some guy came thru the marina the other day and stopped to talk. He found while in the carriabean that he had melonomia, skin cancer. It spred to all his limpnoids, neck, spine and he went thru hell (surgery & kemo) and had some nasty looking scars. He convinced me to go visit a dermotoligist and have a few small moles on my back checked out. He said it started on him as just an itchy spot on his neck. He had to quit crusing and spend a very large amout of his savings fighting the cancer. Growing up in Texas I can not remember the number of times Ive been sun burned. Now days I try to keep covered as much as I can. started peeling today......itchy. Scotty |
