I'm not familiar with the 14.5. Does it have a keel?
I've been sailing my Cal 20 a fair amount. Just got a new main and jib. Makes a huge difference from the rags I had before. I'm also teaching on a Yamaha 30 (both in the bay) and a Holder 20 (swing keel) on a lake... not much wind, but it makes for a good comparison to the SF bay. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Veridican" wrote in message ... My wife and I sail the hell out of a Hunter 14.5 footer on the Gulf of Mexico. We've made some minor modifications, of course. It goes really fast in good wind, and we can sail it right on the edge of the no sail zone (45 degrees off the wind). The boat is named, naturally, "Veridican." What about you--what do you sail?
