Did my bottom, re packed the stuffing box, installed a new bigger holding
tank, fixed about 10 other 'minor' things (only 36 more to do). She's ready
to be splashed.

Took Chopper for a long walk this morning down on the river road...the
pussywillows have all had "kittens" and the red-winged blackbirds are
singing and building nests. The kids at the maple syrup farm ran out to
inform me that the sap had stopped running free and that they got to "un-bag
the trees (Dad was out there winding up all the "IV" tubing already)...we
won't do any serious work on the biat until we find out what we're doing
this summer for sure...

Are you putting the boat in or waiting to see what happens?

Scotty asked: Are you putting the boat in or waiting to see what happens?

Waiting to see what happens. Don't want to slap another coat of VC-17 on if
we're going to have to just scrape it back off, don't want to pay launch
fees if it's coming right back out, don't want to pay club dues and mooring
fees if the boat won't be on them for the season...Right now it's a "wait
and see" thing....Mr Sails is of the opinion that it might be better to sell
Chanteuse here and buy another boat down there (wuth less draft), but can't
reconcile himself to either a shoal draft or a full keel (I do not want
either, either)...and we really do love the boat we have. We are going to
investigate thorough;y when we're down there in April.
