Yes Kate, do some reading, like Interlux's recommendation to always remove VC17
when changing paint: http://www.yachtpaint.com/Images/15_20650.pdf "SAIL LOCO" wrote in message ... We asked at =Torresen's and they recommended using Interlux Micron anti-fouling paint = but that we would have to sand off the VC17 (quite lethal stuff) They = quoted 2600.00 plus the cost of the paint to do it. . Katy, Your marina is either trying to make money on you or they are just stupid when it comes to bottom paints. VC-17 is nothing more than a Vinyl antifouling paint the same as Baltoplate. You can paint over a vinyl but you can't apply vinyl over any other paint. Do a little reading. The $2600 would be wasted. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "No shirt, no skirt, full service" |
