Dave & Scott,

Homo's were not drafted if they made it known.

when the draft got to be really moving, most anything that breathed got
drafted.

I personally knew a guy with a wooden leg (car accident) who had to go through
his draft physical, another who was 6'9" (two inches of the limit) who was
drafted (he said they banged the measuring stick on his his enough times so he
snuck down a bit to ease the pain and they measured him at 6'71-'2").

In boot camp, everyone got a second physical to insure that all met minimum's.
many ( 2 or 3 out of a hundred it seemed) didn't.

I doubt joony showing up claiming his preference would have kept him from
serving. They would just take care to assign to the right general.

no, there is some reason joony didn't serve besides his preference.

Dave & Scott,

Homo's were not drafted if they made it known.

Looks like you had no trouble declaring your homosexuality.

if I had it I would have no problem declaring it. As it happens, I have no
interest in such at all. No idea why anyone else would either. and, joony, I
don't care to hear your rationalizations

Looks like you had no trouble declaring your homosexuality.

I knew the NAVY installed a height limit after basketball great, David
Robinson (The Admiral) at 7' or 7'1'' had a time getting through doorways,
but I don't recall the Army having any.
