Default What a Great Day!!!

To Those that still have their boat on the hard;

Went down to the boat to do something about a stuck shift cable on the
inside steering station and work on the teak.

Temp 47 Deg, Wind SW9. Disconnected the cable
Went sailing; What a great day; Came home on two broad reaches from
about 20 miles out. One Gybe, Right to harbor entrance.

Back home 3:20 PM. Got a 6;00 dinner appointment. Had to come home!

Spring is here in the NW. Maybe I'll get some boat maintenance done
tomorrow?

That''s nice, Thom. We had horrendous winds here yesterday so bad that =
when arriving home after work, we were met by police cars cordoning off =
our property...two utility poles, one on each side of the raod, ahd =
collapseddraffing wires all around. So, rather than going home and =
letting the dog out, we went out to dinner and busied ourselves =
elsewhere until we could get back up our deiveway without getting =
electrocuted. Then we had to spend several hours with the hurricane =
laterns lit while the work crews put up two new poles and restrung what =
they could. They were out there again this morning finishing up, or so =
we thought....seems that they're going to have to come back one more =
time. And the wind blew part of the gutter system off the front of the =
house so that had to be pciked up out of the yard. And my ornamental =
Japanese plum tree split taking out the portion that was the crown, so =
that will have to be chopped out and replaced....And this is only the =
beginning of March....maybe the snow was better....

That's a shame Katy, at least no one got hurt. How was the dog? We had
T-storm today, hard rain and windy, BUT it is getting warmer.

By the time we were allowed back, he really had to go! Made a mad dash =

I took down adieing 80'+ old oak tree in the back yard (30' from the
house). Did it while the ground was frozen and 10'' of snow on top. Clean up
was a breeze, I plowed the snow and the limbs together.
