Default Hey Doug:some IACC yachts powered up.

Nav wrote:
Yes but when the boat is not close to max design speed is it really
powered up?

so I asked:
So, you're saying that IACC boats make their best speed at 30 degrees
of heel? I would be surprised if that were true.

and then Nav wrote:
Don't try to put words into my mouth. The IACC yachts are fastest
downwind -as you should know.

So are they "powered up" downwind, at lesser angles of heel, and greater
speed? Or does "powered up" have nothing to do with speed? At first you
said that it did.

A big part of the problem is that you can't seem to state the situation
clearly and consistently.
