I think you need to get your protractor calibrated. Only one boat heeled
more than you said, one close (and that was at an angle that exaggerates
heel angle) and one not even.
If you were to look at 100 end-on shots of IACC boats racing, I think
you'd find that the average heel angle is closer to 15 than 30. But what
do I know?
