You ever sail one jaxy?
"JAXAshby" wrote in message ... I've been aboard two Siedlemanns. They are worse, perhaps as bad as the US Yachts. The only thing worse than seeing one is meeting the poor fool who bought it. RB Siedlemanns were (not many left) pretty bad, but US Yachts is what became of Bucaneer. |

Scotty, no one doubts that your boat can move. But the fact, and I do think you know this, is that the Siedlemann line is known for poor quality with some boats being lemons. I've looked at the Sailnet boards and some of the owners operate on the "I've got a good one" theme. Not exactly the level of better O'Days and even Macs. RB |

Not knowing the meaning of "better" is how you ended up with a Siedlemann.
Dang. True. But the other side is that Scotty was warned off by a few. He just wanted 30 feet in the same way Gayanzy wants 8 inches. A good friend of mine wanted a 33-35 footer, but when she saw how far the money would go, she set her sights on a 29-30 footer with about 20K to spend. I think Scotty spent 2 or 3K on his boat and he was taken. When it comes to boats One man's garbage is...another man's garbage. Too bad Scotty has yet to learn this. RB |

8 inches? Is that for you or your moma? I'm not sure which would be
worse. "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... Not knowing the meaning of "better" is how you ended up with a Siedlemann. Dang. True. But the other side is that Scotty was warned off by a few. Been aborad both Siedlemans and a US Yacht. Never sailed any. Have seen US
Yachts sail and they don't sail any better than their Bucaneer ancestors. The Siedlemans I hav seen sailing (including your own) seemed to sail decently. You ever sail one jaxy? I tried to sell it a year ago for 2K or less. No takers. If Scotty wanted a boat to fix up, he should have started with an old Pearson, Alberg or even a Catalina. At least he would have had something in the end...and some dignity. RB |

well, there ya go. I bought the boat to sail. Mostly for 3~7 day cruises on
the Chessy. I didn't buy it to sit in a slip and watch TV.,or bolt on gadgets and frills so I could impress people. Scotty, a true sailor. "JAXAshby" wrote in message ...
