DSK!... good info as usual! Ganz!... showing a marked improvement! I see you forgot about me... sniff You Yanks would have been proud of me . a yellow ribbon on an American Flag pin and smokin' Yankee cigarettes. Why do people from other countries think everyone is a Yank? I thought that was a reference to the people who live in the northeast United States. LP |

I've heard four times this week (and it's only tuesday) how "Southerners don't know how to drive in snow," and there are over 1200 wrecks in the Raleigh area in the past 48 hours. But all the Southerners I know are staying right at home! DSK |

Fortunately, that is a fairly rare occurrence. I will say that no one around here knows how to drive, rain or shine. I was in Italy in early January and I found people were much better drivers than I am used to seeing around here. Then again, if we were driving vehicles not much larger than golf carts, perhaps people would be better drivers here, as well. |

On days like today, I feel as if moving further south would be a good idea... but then, will the people there think *I'm* a Yankee?? .... Then again, if we were driving vehicles not much larger than golf carts, perhaps people would be better drivers here, as well. Scariest traffic I ever saw was in Athens, Greece. People were doing 60 mph on the sidewalks to get around cars that had stopped for red lights. When I was in Italy, red lights meant "speed up & blow your horn." Sometimes I wonder if anybody anywhere really knows how to drive. I prefer walking, but to get to the coast from here would take too long. DSK |

BTW some consider it bad form to drink when ashore... what about single malt?? DSK |

Have you seen what the weather is doing up here? We'd be stupid to not = consider it. You've had your turn.
