The brand names a "Camp" and "Queen".
What might such brand names be reflecting? Are you, or have you
ever been, in any way involved in the tapping of these syrups?

The most effective and safe cure .. is a teaspoon of
fresh powder yeast.. it will naturally biograde the
organic materials in the plumbing system.
And after a few days followup with a spoonfull of
bicarbonate.. to freshen the system.

You guys get the sugar water flavoured fake maple syrup or the standard
"Aunt Jemima" pancake syrup.
I tap my own maple stand here.... you don't even know about ice rendering as
opposed to boiling down.

Don't talk to me about maple syrup... and I won't talk to you about
kangaroos or sheep.

You have no comprehension as how to make Belgian Waffles if you think it's
messy or a chore. I'm not talking about the crap you buy in the states
either. That stuff wouldn't be fed to our pigs!

don't forget the pan-fried
banana and the sour cream!

As in Bananas Foster ( flambé)? Or are you referring to plantains? Sour
cream on bananas????ucky....French toast and maple syrup....2 eggs, beat in
2 tbsp half and half or cream, 1 tsp vanilla, and a pinch of nutmeg or
cinnamon...crusty French bread is best...pampy old white bread is
horrendous....beats Belgian waffles any day and half the mess....

Gosh no... we just slap any label that we think best describes our
customers. I don't buy that commercial crap. I tap my own. Ever heard of
"Ice Wine"?... well I make "Ice Maple Syrup". I usually have about 6 quarts
of it around the house from different farms. We trade off. Some of my
friends make a stronger darker variety by rendering down some make a lighter
variety by the freeze method. Some trees grow in better soil conditions and
provide a unique taste.

| OK. There are two common brands of (real) maple syrup available
| on supermarket shelves here, at exorbitant prices. Although one
| company is Oz owned, and the other Canadian owned, the syrup is
| Canadian in both cases. The brand names a "Camp" and "Queen".
