Concorde had it's final commercial flight today.

For the last 27 years, I've watched her take off and land. Every time that
I have seen her, I have been impressed by her beauty. There is no other
aircraft that looks so perfect in the air. There is no other aircraft that
conjures up the same sense of pure awe.

Oh I think an SR-71 taking of at dawn with full afterburner is way more
impressive.

Cheers

Some people won't get it, can't get it and will never get it.
I agree with Donal. The point of the Concorde was that it was "ours."
Martin, do you practice idiocy? Stop practicing. You've gone pro.

Bwahahahahaha!

So are you saying the SR-71 wasn't "yours", while the the Concorde,
designed
and built by a European consortium wah "yours"?

My dear Bob, move on from the grade school yard.

That's right, my little maggot...the Concorde was designed for public use. I
didn't support nor ask for the SR-71 and it's a matter of opinion as to it's
actual value to any individual.
Is this helping? Need some crayons?

Bwahahahahahaa!

Ah vulgarity, the first recourse of the mentally challenged.

Oh well, I'll check back in while and see if you've managed to
scale the heights of mental acuity to a level above that of
common bully.

.... or hate!

... It sounded like two very loud hammer blows on the hull in quick succession. .. I

I was at a horse show the first time it flew out of Dullus. A over dozen
horses broke their halters and galloped off in terror thanks to that
tiny aircraft, spreading noise and soot over 1000s of square miles every
afternoon, just so the idle rich could get to Europe a few hours early,
subsidized by taxing folks who could never afford to fly in it. It was
at once an economical and ecological disaster. Good riddance!

I always thought that it's main function was to get the rich to America a
few hours early!
