Blowing the danger signal could be illegal and of no value if the other
guy can't see you ( and could interfere with normal fog signals) If possible, you should all ready have tried communicating by radio. Paragraphs like this, highlight Neals amateur status. BTW, this issue of one vessel or the other not being able to see, while the other can, is quite often the case, especially when dealing with larger and smaller vessels at the same time.
