Scoutthat's one reason why I'm keeping the titanium parts they pulled out

etc....why not turn them into an investment?)

You idiot. Titanium will go DOWN in price, dumbass.

Investing in something that will go down in price?

Commercially affordable titanium will be good for the tool industry,
but I doubt if it will be cheaper than fiberglass.

I'm sure you're right, but would you pay the difference (assuming it's
close) for a titanium hull?

Whatever the process, it doesn't seem likely that titanium will ever be
cheaper than aluminum and never mind how difficult it is to work with.
Aluminum sailboats are so expensive that only the wealthy can afford them
now.

Still, it could be just the thing for high dollar ocean racers.
There might be some advantage over the carbon fibre composites now used in
the open 60's, even if they didn't build an entire hull out of it.

If the materials are cheap enough, why not?

Yeah, don't do that. Don't invest in things might turn into a commodity.

You are dumber than words can express.
