I'm happy to see you have some respect for your elders.

'Respect for your elders' ... hmmph!

I'll get you for that, Oz

Ohhh and I tried so hard.

Don't feel bad, Donal used to suck up to JAX when he was in the mood. I

honestly
can't figure Donal out, but he does some pretty good sailing and has great
pictures.

Perhaps it is about time that I opened up a bit!

I shouldn't be too difficult to understand.

I like a good "discussion". Trans:- I am happy to argue that black is
white!

I don't like bullies.

I enjoy playing devil's advocate.

Nearly all of my posts should have a liberal sprinkling of "smilies".

My sense of humour is probably a little bit "off beat". I cannot keep a
straight face when I am in company. This medium allows me to keep an
absolutely straight face. That explains my sign off "regards". It is
totally dispassionate - on purpose!

In real life I seem to be much more persuasive than I intend. Occasionally,
the same thing seems to happen here.

There are many people here whose opinions I value. Despite the "banter",
I've learned loads!

Doug well, you could probably carry his sail bags.

??

Don't bother to carry sail bags, throw them in the dock cart.

Thanks, Oz. You're doing a good job too! In fact, I think that I am

even
beginning to detect some humour in your posts.

Beginning?!

Apparently you're being too subtle, Oz.

Respect??? Hmmmm?

I'm happy to sail with, and learn from, people that know more about sailing
than I do.

They don't have to be older than I am.

I kinda doubt that.

You're a pretty slow study, actually.

Donal in most of your posts I see a lot of wit, but you also seem to enjoy
chasing lame threads a lot further than I care to follow them.

So that you can cling to the illusion of being even-tempered and emotionally
uninvolved?

Just kidding....

Nah, we just like to give you lots of rope to see you run with it.

Yep, I agree that the teaching of some here is a load, all right.

I'm pleased about the first half of your reply, and admit to occassional
feelings of guilt about the second half. However, we are all different.

.... Hmmmmm.... you *might* have a point. [three minutes of reflection].
Unfortunately, I cannot entertain the idea that it is an illusion. Not
because you are wrong, but because it would threaten my sanity! The real
illusion, is that I like to feign emotional involvement and bad temper.

heh heh That sounds absolutely fair ..... as I really enjoy feeding out
rope also! In fact, I've had to order in extra supplies for my recent
discussion with Oz!

Poor Donal, run out of rope and not enough to hang himself.
You wouldn't want to. Really messy, horrible way to go...yuck!

Oz,

Believe me! I'm ok. Honestly.

How big is your overdraft facility? I can't go overdrawn at all.

Now there's a surprise.
