Default What should you enter in your log?

What you enter in your log..... is far different than what you enter in
your pre-departure checklist... which is what you bozos have reduced this
to.

Log:
Departure Time
Tide
Weather [Temp/Barometer/ Visual]
Course Mag
Course true
Variation
Chart Number
Engine Hours
[Deviation tables on inside cover]
Course changes + times
Fixes [methods utilized including references]
Drift and Set
Log data - [average speed]
Notes regarding uncharted obstructions, general conditions, watch changes,
helm changes, sail set and trim, etc.

Hope that clears things up for everyone!

| Seeing as how there has been so much discussion about logs, and after
| reading Donals poor example,I thought it might be a good idea to
| discuss what information should be entered in this official and in
| some cases legally bound document.
|
| I'll start!
|
| A crew list.

| Oz1...of the 3 twins.
| I welcome you to crackerbox palace,We've been expecting you.
