Most of us realize that October 31st and the end of October are the same date. Just how stupid are you? So you knew I was right all along. Thanks. We still have doubts about: "Midday is about 4-6 pm". -- Wally I demand rigidly-defined areas of uncertainty! www.art-gallery.myby.co.uk |

Hey, bob, FYI, frost bite racing is done in sailboats, in the water.
-- ---- Steve S/V Pony Express "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... There is frost bite racing that runs till January all over LIS. Look it up. Thanks for making my point. The turkey races do run and so do a few others. But just about all sailboats leave the water by end of October. They have very little choice. If there are sailboats around here in November, they must be invisible. RB |

Sorry, Steve, you've got no argument. Only a handful of boats sail here after Oct 31st. I was 100% right. By late November it would be unusual to spot two sailboats in a week. RB |

So you knew I was right all along. Thanks.
No, you said that most boaters hauled their boats in early to mid October, neither of which is October 31st. By early October, more than half of the boats on in NY are on the hard. By the 15th, most are out. By the end of the month I'm one of the last boats sailing in the area. Care to wager on it? RB |

I hated that..... living up north, the season was so short. Also getting
the boats in storage for the winter was costly. Glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. ![]() NH_/)_ -- Keep Posting and Squish a Bertie \\ (o _(()_ || "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... Is that a NY law? or just another one of your lame excuses? They shut down the matrix. Close...but wrong as always. Nearly every boat comes out of the water on October 31st here. RB |

Are you suggesting that there is no frostbiting in LIS? Or, are you
suggesting that every boat the sails in a frostbite series is dry sailed? -- ---- Steve S/V Pony Express "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... That's correct Katy, in FL we have to worry about tropical storms and
hurricane's. When In MI we had to worry about winterized motors and exposure. A lot of the marinas have breakwalls, but this does not stop all the little creatures that love to live on the bottom side of the sailboat called barnacles, and having to re-do the bottom side of the boats can get to be a real pain. I was born and raised in Michigan I know how pretty the great lakes are ![]() hummm now that you mention it? I think we have tropical storm heading this way NH_/)_ -- Keep Posting and Squish a Bertie \\ (o _(()_ || "katysails" wrote in message ... Also getting the boats in storage for the winter was costly.
