Getting Ready, Bill!

What I find "interesting" is your assumption that no "plan" is required
when sailing to a schedule....

What schedule? We have until Monday to return. If we don't make it back Sunday
eve. no big deal.

time frames of
your "local" trip to the Thimbles in a coherent and informative manner so as
we may have the opportunity to review it properly?

1st you say you're not overly concerned, then you ask for details. We leave
tomorrow at 3:00. We will sail as far and as long as we care to. That's our
"plan."

This is after all a
sailing news group and you did request that I concentrate on "On-Topic"
subject matter.... I'm requesting further clarification of your claims.

What claims? We haven't left yet??!!! Suggest you wait until after the weekend
to review pics of our local trip!

The Thimble Islands is quite close. We sailed
further with Ghost. It's local.

Are the Thimbles only three miles from your marina?

From what I understood it's a 10 to 15 mile trip to his first hook then
another 40 to 45 miles to the Thimbles from there. In short it's a minimum
of 50 miles and a maximum of 60 miles. Take into consideration that the
distance over ground on a sailboat could well double those figures.....
anyone else but Bob would stand a chance. Try as he might ... the skill of
sail evades him due to his headlong rush for comfort and commodities.

A simple overnight passage both ways would allow him to meet his targeted
objective... but he lacks the ability to conduct his vessel after the sun
sets.

Hey Guys,

Ease off you "PURISTS!" RB is on a trip with a destination within a time
frame. There is absolutely nothing at all wrong with motor sailings to
maintain voyaging speed. If he wants to shut down the "Bangger" for
peace and quite, that's the Skipper's choice. He isn't breaking any
rules either way.

Bon Voyage, Nutsy. May the winds be fair. Time schedule is yours, not
ours

AND: "I'LL DRINK TO THAT!"

Well maybe you could explain it to Bob for me... belay that.. you're on
every killfile from here to Copacabana. You are one useless pawn Bertie.
How am I supposed to work with this?

Agreed...but Mooron appears quite worried. I'm appreciative of his conecrn, but
it's a short trip and we have no intention of setting foot ashore for three
days. We just want to sail as far as we can, swim and sail some more.
Weather should be nice after tomorrows heat. We stocked up the boat with fresh
fruit, bread and some fish. Dinghy is ready to go, though we probably won't use
it.

On Thu, 21 Aug 2003 15:01:30 -0300, a team of surgeons from
alt.sailing.asa removed the following benign growth from Capt. Mooron:

Even if he motors both ways...

You'd certainly know about motoring both ways, bisexual-boi.
