It's the most efficient shoal draft keel ever drawn up. Ever heard

your boat will fall over if you ever moor up to a mooring that dries
hard... or get too cocky with that shallow draught... either that, or
you'll have to be quick over the side with timber props.

That's true for just about any boat other than a bilge keeler or
a multihull. But, what kind of an idiot would want either of them?

people who don't have deep moorings available... and others who just love
having a "classic" boat rather than a plastic job...
