Welcome!

1955? Hmmmm . . .

That's about the year of birth of your lovely wife.

If you don't want her because of her vintage I'll
take her off your chubby little hands.

So's a 1955 GE Toaster. Don't want one of those either.

Bobsprit August 13th 03 05:40 PM

Welcome!

Perhaps your ignorance can be forgiven because
snapshots don't show angles too well

In other words, you can't set up a bimini AND you can't take a good picture.

Bwahahaha!

And you believe THAT! Bwwwaaaaaaahahahahahahahah!

Suzanne is 35.

Welcome!

Neal,

I have to compliment you on the condition of those cockpit seats. Most
Coronados are a splintery mess. At least what I can see at the hinge
looks great!

Welcome!

Yup... just like the old ones on my Cal 20 until I removed them.

Winch handles, at least most modern ones, lock in the winch.

Hey, stupid, don't you know that winches ratchet?

Only an idiot turns a winch 360 degrees so he can
fall overboard doing it or lose the handle overboard.

The most beautiful thing about it is that the winch handle can't be

turned because of the bimini.
Obviously this winch never gets used to trim a sheet, which is hardly

surprising on a boat that never
sails.

Welcome!

Thanks Thom. Good eye!

I got tired of the rotten wood a couple of years ago and made
the seats/locker hatches out of 3/4" Star Board® which is a plastic
guaranteed for life. Expensive as hell but worth it. I will never
have to maintain rotting wood hatches again. Between the two
hatches there is 250 dollars of plastic. (including the cost to
have them custom cut and beveled.

True but one bump on the button or latch and
off they go . . .

What's your problem? Never ratcheted a winch?

When you work on your engine do you not take
out any bolt or nut where you cannot turn the
ratchet handle 360º?

Why do winches ratchet in the first place?

Thats it! You are insane. Only possible explanation.

Ratcheting winches are a useful feature. A. bimini which prevents the
360* sweep of your winch handle is bad design. And don't even begin to
tell me you never used the high speed 360* sweep to bring in
moderately loaded genoa sheet fast.....wait a minute... you don't have
a two speed self tailing winch. You're entombed in a Coranado. My bad.
