HMS Bouth took part of a mast off going through a bridge in Chicago today
I left work early to walk along the Chicago river. got to the Bounty, there was a crowd of people looking :-0, several crew members aloft. Looked like they broke the upper part of all three mast and the spar for the main topsail. Pictures in paper showed her striking the north leaf of the Lake Shore Drive bridge, which was not in fully raised position at the time. Still, Tall ships Chicago has been pretty good, so far. |
