Tall Ships
 

HMS Bouth took part of a mast off going through a bridge in Chicago today...estimate of $500 damage...must have knocked a flag
off....

Tall Ships
 
HMS Bouth took part of a mast off going through a bridge in Chicago today

I left work early to walk along the Chicago river. got to the Bounty, there
was a crowd of people looking :-0, several crew members aloft. Looked like
they broke the upper part of all three mast and the spar for the main topsail.
Pictures in paper showed her striking the north leaf of the Lake Shore Drive
bridge, which was not in fully raised position at the time.
Still, Tall ships Chicago has been pretty good, so far.
