North River Power Squadron, a division of the United States Power Squadrons,
a non-profit boating organization, announces an accelerated Summer Basic
Boating course. The 16 hours course will be taught over one weekend with all
day sessions on Saturday and Sunday. The class will be conducted on a rolling
basis as soon as 10 or more students enroll in a downtown Manhattan location.
Persons who enroll will be notified of the first available date and place of
the classes as soon as the required number of students enroll. The course is
normally given over 8 weeks in the Spring and Fall. An examination will be
given following the completion of the course which if passed will entitle the
student to a certificate and right to join USPS. It can also be used toward
licensing requirement in Connecticut and New Jersey. If you wish to enroll
