Talk about a different world.
Here in Newfoundland we have had three sea kayaks recovered from the ocean two in the last week. ( Only the first we have tied to an owner . ) Local tour groups ( O'Briens', Gatherall's, Stan Cook's other boaters ) are huntin the waters for the owners of the two sealutions found drifting. When I am in Bay Bulls or Cape Broyle I stop in on the outfitters just to say Hi and get the low down. Should things go pear shaped I can call on chanel 10 or 16 and get a private tour boat to help me in minutes. A CCG rescue boat would take hours. It the B & B is on a private well with low water I can see restrictions on water use, I can see the B & B not wanting extra people in their house if they have issues. What you are describing is simply revolting, destructive to the area, sport, tourism, moral, etc. etc. Hard to believe. Alex |
