Ivanov recently left his job with the Belgian Canoe Federation ostensibly to spend more time with his family (so, why is he coming here???), but it seems that his calls for the 'liberalisation' of performance-enhancing drugs might have featured to tip the balance in the decision to let him go. See: http://www.dhnet.be/dhsports/article.phtml?id=116261 and: http://www.sportwereld.be/Article/De...cleID=GTPBNAN8 With a backdrop like this, what are the BCU doing even thinking about interviewing such a person? With the Olympics in London just around the corner and the claim that we need to inspire the youth of the world, how can this man be trusted with our paddlers and our sport? Try Babelfish or other on-line translator. The second article is in Flemish, so might need translation via Dutch. You might need an International keyboard driver with accented characters. A couple of Hacks are currently working on the matter, so we migt be able to obtain accurate transcripts shortly. Allan Bennett Not a fan of pispronunciation -- |
