ConnYak (Connecticut Sea Kayakers) has a whole list of Connecticut launching
sites on their web page. Or, if you have a Westchester County pass (I think they may be checking now) you can launch from Glen Island Park in New Rochelle. Fee for car topped boats (kayaks for example) is $4. I'll be going out of there later this a.m. There's also a site on the Hudson in Yonkers in the riverside park that abuts the Hudson River Museum. Fee there is, I think, $5. I scoped it out the other day but haven't taken the yak over to it yet. "Chris" wrote in message om... Hi, I just bought a kayak and I live in Port Chester, NY (one town south of Greenwich, CT in the Long Island Sound). I have been trying for the last few days to find a launch site to put the kayak in LI Sound. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks, Christos |
