How about the Rio Grande above where it turns north? You might have to go as far north as Elephant butte Reservoir to find any water that looks deep enough to be a "sea"... ;-) The Rio Grande at Albuquerque is a mud puddle in the summer, and barely a couple feet deep otherwise. Still, deep enough for a kayak some months... |

I'm back from El Paso and due to the weather here in MD cut the trip short
anyway. I looked at the Rio Grande at El Paso, and lets just say it was not very grand. Thanks anyway. Brian Blankinship |

Water is very scarce there. Kayaking in El Paso is about as practicle as
