You make two packages. -- One long and narrow and one short and fat,
both tight and rock-hard, nothing sticking out. You should replace
some of the rivets with nuts and bolts to further dismantle to boat.
Also these packages should have amble amount comfortable handles,
otherwise they will be thrown aside, "let somebody else carry those".

There are no extra charges if the long package looks like "Fishing
Rods & equipment" or "(Water)Skis" depending on carrier&destination.

Some rolls of Duck-Tape is a expensive and handy way to make
solid packages which nobody wants to open or inspect. Of course
you consider the X-ray-machine and do not pack anything bigger
and metallic with the boat..
