Default When Brunel's Ship Came Home - SS Great Britain

DOCUMENTARY: When Brunel's Ship Came Home
On: BBC 1 West (101)
Date: Monday 12th July 2010
Time: 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Documentary revealing the epic story of how the SS Great Britain,
Brunel's iconic ship, was brought home to Bristol forty years ago. Key
figures from the salvage team recall their audacious mission to rescue
a rusting hulk from a desolate corner of the Falkland Islands. When
the ship eventually returned to Bristol, thousands of people lined the
banks of the River Avon to welcome her home. The SS Great Britain is
now a hugely successful visitor attraction.
