Default US - dredging convoy #1

Something a little different. The next few posts are of tugs Miss Niz, Pops
and Baltic Dawn (left to right) moving several hundred feet of pipe, an air
compressor and a barge with derrick through the Cape Cod Canal on December
25, 2015 in preparation for routine dredging of the Cape Cod Canal in
January 2016. The pipe will be used to transport the dredging spoils from
the dredge vessel to shore at the Town of Sagamore's Town Neck beach which
has been eroded by storms and not replenished with sand due to the presence
of breakwaters at the canal's eastern end.

A nice group Bob, you must have liked seeing these come through the Canal!

Thanks Paul. When I got to the canal they were about 2 miles away and it
took awhile to figure out what was going on. I enjoyed the opportunity to
shoot something a bit unusual.
