Metacenter - 150 feet?

It's amazing that these things can float upright at all.

Yeah, except for the people hurt and killed it looks better on its
side than upright.

Default Costa Concordia wreck

IMHO...Beaching her was a mistake.

When a vessel is beached, it loses her stability and rolls over.

She should have stayed in deeper water.

The water tight doors are closed and would have kept her from sinking.

She would have listed and it would have bought time to get the lifeboats
over the side.
