You see Harry, a statement like that tells all. We have no idea who will be running in 2012. We have no proof of how well or badly Obama will govern. We have no idea how well or badly a Democrat controlled Congress is going to perform. We have no idea which party or person will be best for the situation and conditions in 2012. With all these unknows, and 4 years away, you are already lined up to vote Democratic. Takes a lot of wind out of your sails with regard to your advocacy of a particular candidate. Eisboch It makes life a lot easier for him. Vote strictly democratic. No thinking, judgment or common sense required. Indeed, in the last 12 years, the choices the GOP offered up included George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, and John McCain and Sarah Palin. No thinking or judgment was required to turn down those choices. Instinct and my gut told me they were wrong for America. I was spot on with turning down Bush and Cheney. America agreed with me on turning down McCain and Palin. Silly me...I didn't vote for the idiot Bush and the thug Cheney, and I didn't vote for No Judgment McCain or JesusFreak Palin. "Jeasus Freak" You really are a disgusting pile of sheet. |

Eisboch The real answer, of course, is that there is no proof that "moderates" make up the majority of the GOP. In fact, if you look through the state by state returns from the last election, you'll see the pattern emerge of who most Republican voters are...mainly older, whiter, evangelicals. Hardly moderates. More racist bigoted remarks from krause. That's a doozie. I'll have to save this comment for later. D'oh...there have been several national surveys of those who voted last week, and you know what? My description is spot-on. Nothing racist in my remark. Nothing bigoted, either. Just reality. Hey...aren't you an older, whiter, evangelical? Didn't you vote for McCain-Palin? Case closed. "Whiter" than what? Try to explain that in a non racist manner. |

I can take a survey and report anything I want from the "results" of the survey. Show me the raw data. Hey...aren't you an older, whiter, evangelical? Didn't you vote for McCain-Palin? Nope, younger, regular white (accident of birth, didn't ask to be white), Catholic, who didn't vote for The Obama and Biden. Biden who has suddenly found himself out of a job for the next four years. I wonder if they will let him use the telescopes at the naval observatory. |

I know I learned a few things and even had a couple of chuckles. Good luck to everybody. We're gonna need it. I even wish Obama well and hope he is ready for the challenges ahead of him. We could have done worse. We could have had Hillary. Eisboch I watched Palin's speech and suddenly aborted press conference today. She is going to be the gift that keeps on giving. You seem to hate women so much you should become a Muslim. Hate? That's a Republican characteristic. I think she's terrific, and just the woman I want to see capture the 2012 GOP nomination. You may regret that statement. You may have to put up with her come 2013. Why? Is she going to read a newspaper between now and then? You think those "classic" tv interviews of her exhibiting her ignorance are going to disappear from tape? You think her brand of simple-minded social conservatism is going to have broader appeal in 2012? Is she going to have another baby? Will her youngest daughter get pregnant? I can only hope Palin remains "active" on the national political scene, to remind the voters over and over and over that there is nothing between her ears. She's terrific. Because, if the current economic morass is still here, or even deeper, the people will vote the other party in just for "Change". |

Wonder if that Jeb Bush from Florida might step up? Almost forgot about him. He was a good governor and a likable fellow. I remember from the few years we wintered in Florida that Jeb was very popular and well regarded. In fact, I really don't remember anybody, personally or in the media that had any bad things to say about him. He was certainly on top of things when it came to the 3 hurricanes we experienced during our time down there. He would probably have to change his last name though, to be seriously considered. Eisboch He would still be in office if he could. He was very popular. |
