Default The boat I'd like to build

I like this concept:
http://www.dieselducks.com/

I'd build the 38' version IF I could get the designer to decrease her
draft to 4' and increase emphasis on sail.

Cool boat. I don't think you'd want to be reducing her draft though.
She's already sitting quite high. She must have a heavily leaded keel to
keep her from rolling over.

I really need shoal draft. However, I will not build it ins pite of
how much fun it would be. My current 28' sailboat with 3'10" draft
and 13 hp diesel is just right for me AND is paid for.

For your area a Mac 26 seems ideal. Doesn't sail very well, but has a
lot of advantages otherwise, including a 12"-18" draft.
Good accommodations for the family for its size too.
