BTW: Welcome back, but unfortunately this is no longer a boating NG.
A scroll through the various topics will show that fact.
The more things change, the more they remain the same. :-)

It's kinda like a soap opera when I come back - you can be away for
months or even years and when you tune back in, it takes very little
time to catch up on what you missed. Same actors, same script, everyone
is just a bit older. Not me of course, I'm still the same age, but you
guys are all older now. ;-)

Dave, the folks with the boating questions are getting answers, and
there's a pretty decent crowd of folks around. If you get a chance,
visit the boating forum at:

http://boatingforum.proboards91.com/index.cgi?

Registration is a snap.

Leo is a sockpuppet who just recently started to post here.

Chuck has a nice forum but the same suspects here who turned rec.boats south
have done the same at Chucks.

Yep.........a soap opera. ;-)

Have you gotten any emails from Herring begging you to ignore me? Others
have. :)

No, but I did get a nasty PM from Dan Krueger telling me I had no
right to ask to see the exact message you posted at the other place
that resulted in you getting permanently banned and why FL Jim (who
was permanently banned) can still post there.

For those interested (who live near Kingston, Ontario) I will once again
be teaching some introductory marine courses courses at St. Lawrence
College starting soon. If interested, please follow this link:

Well, you old fart,

Glad to see you are still breathing TC-W3 fumes and have grease under your
fingernails!

The answer is easy enough. They are buddies of Uncle Tom. I am not.

Wow! After only two or three days of effort, class acts start showing up.
Must be doing something right!

Dave, nice to see your name in the sender's list. Welcome.

Welcome back Dave, hope things are going well for you. As you may
recall we met in the summer of 2000 on our way through the Rideau
Canal on our old Bertram 33, Dorothy Jane. Unfortunately our new
boat is a tad too big for the Rideau but I would like to do the St
Lawrence River loop one of these years, out and around to Nova Scotia,
Maine, etc.

How is the price of marine diesel up your way?

Hi! I don't get down to your part of the creek too much, but I spend a
week's vacation every year in the Ogdensburg/Prescott Bridge area, on
the US side. Bass fishing was great this year. They're getting fat and
sassy on those gobies, aren't they?
