Good plan for him. Never saw somebody go downhill so fast. Thought

creative in thought. Probably because he's half nuts.
Brokaw is a gem. Gregory is very very good. Keeps an even keel in a
storm. Williams can be flaky.
I'll bet Scarborough feels pretty good about this after Uberhead, er,
Olbermann got on his case about telling the truth about some recent
polls.
These are just my opinions, and I may be off-the-wall myself.

I actual like Matthews, for the reasons you stated. He at least tries to
keep his personal political views in check, not always successfully, but he
tries. Although an acknowledged Dem ticket supporter, he went after another
prominent Obama supporter pretty hard one day, challenging him to cite any
Obama sponsored legislation or senate achievements. The guy couldn't and
Matthews made mincemeat out of him.

Brokaw is a class act. Williams is trying, but hasn't established himself

Gregory is fine, except he talks too much IMO. Several times while giving
his commentary during the RNC, I found myself wishing he would shut up for a
moment so we could hear what the current speaker was saying.

Matthews will in fact be replaced by Gregory!!!! LOL, what a joke..
it won't work, they are and will remain dead last in the ratings,
until they "really" come out of the tank.. I suppose they will
eventually hire Helen to represent the right, so they can be fair and

He's got a mean streak. I saw what you mention - and a couple other
similar incidents. It would have done to just say "You can't. Let's
talk about something you might know about." I've seen him take that
gentler, but just as effective dismissive approach many times.
But when he's on the rag he enjoys humiliating people a bit too much.

Did you see him tear into that Schuster kid a few days ago?
Ended up looking bad because Schuster gave him an easy out,
but he was either too pig-headed to take it, or too steamed to even
see it.
