Only to the extent that the post was definitely from Halifax. Of that
there is no doubt.

Here is a post this evening from "rec.boats.cruising":

[Thinking] about bringing a Person 32 back from Bermuda to Halifax in
mid September. Good idea or bad given the forcasts?
======

Pearson 32s are sailboats. Don is a sailor.

Unless Don has an evil twin who is also from Halifax, and also sails,
my money is still on him.

It's coming from googlegroups via an aggregator via a blogger site
called thecaptainandthekid.

It may have been routed thorugh a Halifax server, but I doubt it
originated there.

As least that's the way I read it.

Send your money. Yankee dollahs will do.
As much as I'd love to do a delivery like that, I tend to get seasick.
Besides, there are almost 400K people in the Halifax Regional
Municipality.... don't you think it's possible another might find and post
to this newsgroup?
(for the life of me, I don't know why)

We do have one poster here who uses a spoofer, he showed us a picture
of it on his monitor.. and he spells the same way too.. My bets are
on....

One who has been a lot more careful since Gene's server came on line,
one who craves attention, was very curious about Genes filters...

Hummmm....

Ah ha! Someone may be getting creative in this group.
Good thing they weren't smart enough to use my provider. I'd be here for
months protesting my innocence.

I've contacted Easynews to trace it out for me - I have "connections"
there.

Get it - "connections"?

My thinking exactly.

Maybe you have friends in the IP spoofing business who know quite a
bit about you?
