One carried on quite nicely until a member here tried to take it into

There is another nice discussion going on over there on classic wood
boats including Lyman's/

If you want to talk boats I invite you to join in on the discussion
over there.

Hopefully the trolls will not try to bring it into the sewer like

Don't you mean until someone took the thread off course with his snarky
comment to Reggie?

Whoooooooosh!

I am too stupid to notice a snarky comment. One needs to hit me upside
the head with a 2x4, and then I will just think it is a mosquito.

Is that a "real" photo or a computer generated image. I think it is
computer generated.

I thought it was a model that had been photoshopped.
You can see some hot spots where the light source was reflected, I would
not expect to see that in a CG image, but I could be wrong.

It's real - it's enhanced though. Taken at extreme altitude given the
clarity of the image and over water, but that's a real image - you can
tell from the shadows and the sun flare on the canopy.

Probably taken with a Hasselblad.

You might be correct, but the link is for a model that sells for $70.
The shadows and sun flare are easy to do for a professional using Photoshop.

It's a Marine F-18, and we all know the Marines have the biggest and best
contingent of photographers in the entire world!

We have done some 3d work in Corel where we can move light sources
around in the virtual studio..

The flare on the windshield can be easily duplicated in Photoshop, but
the hot spots and shadows under the wings made it look like it was a
photo that had been dodged and burned versus a CG image.

If this is the typical Usenet post, wither it is a manipulated photo of
a real F-18, a CG image or a manipulated photo of the model they are
selling will allow us to "beat this horse within an inch of his life".
