Opera "tunes"?

Eisboch

Sure. There are kazillions of tunes in opera. Even if you don't listen
to or like opera, you've heard them. At the moment, my "ringtone" is a
tune from La Traviata, sung by Anna Netrebko.

Don't know Anna? One of her albums outsold one from Beyoncé when it came
out in 2004 in Europe. Terrific voice, good-looking, too. Well, both of
them, Anna and Beyoncé!

Here's a list of some popular opera tunes for you:

Lakmé: Flower Duet (Dome épais)

Die Walküre (The Valkyrie): Ride of the Valkyries

La Forza del destino (The Force of Destiny) : Overture

Andre Chénier: La mamma morte

Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville): Overture

Il Barbiere di Siviglia: Largo al factotum

Lohengrin: Wedding March

La Wally: Ebben? ne andro lontana

Cosi fan tutte: Soave sia il vento

Legend of Tsar Saltan: Flight of the Bumble Bee

La Traviata: Libiamo ne lieti calici (Brindisi)

grin, he is cute when he wants to be. Can you imagine being at the
marina dock when his cell phone rings?

Never watched a Star Wars episode or movie in my life.

Well, good for you.

Oh, it's Star TREK - not Star WARS...

Same thing to me, never watched the stuff. I just can't get into such
far-fetched things.

I have plenty of "imagination". I prefer to use it for other purposes,
however.
My Stratocaster, for one!

Well, you had to have a television set to watch the original Star Trek
series. All loogie had was that broken refrigerator on the front porch,
filled with empty beer cans and MoonPie wrappers. Probably has two or
three broken refrigerators on that porch now, along with his own
"Lonnie" from Deliverance. Banjo optional.

Harry, I can't help it if your "culture and refinement" includes crap
like Star Trek, old stupid movies and such.

Sure - you know - tunes.

For example, there is "Alerte! Alerte!" from Gounod's "Faust".

Or even a tarentella - but that could be a little confusing as almost
everybody wo is anybody in opera (or classical music for that matter)
wrote a tarentalla.

Like this in fact - Rossini's "Tarentalla".

Tunes man, tunes.

See how long you can go without using the word "I". Narcissists have a
terrible time leaving that word out of every other sentence.

I this, narcissist boy!

By providing a list of popular opera tunes? Too highbrow for the
