Oh yeah, I never figured out how 8 "bits" could equal $1.00 either...

With the fans, the car is a DC motor and the window is AC. Starting
torque is different.
As for the bits ..... isn't 2 "bits" a quarter?

But you can take a window fan and set it on "low" , plug it in, and it
starts up jjust fine, though...


True, but it's not particularly good for the motor.
