I've never shot one, but I've heard good things about it as a solid all-purpose rifle. My personal all-around bestest rifle is a older Winchester lever action that was rechambered and re-barreled to .325 with iron sights. Custom match ammo and that rifle is as accurate at a laser. Are you referring to the semi-auto Ljungman? Not one of my favorites. I prefer the old reliable bolt action swedish mauser for 6.5x55 rounds.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Yessir, I was. i dont' have a bolt Swede, but the Ljungman is an amazing machine. When loading that first round into the chamber, it's so fascinating watching all those parts sliding around. brilliant design. then the Egyptiand decided to copy it and make the "HAKIM" chambered in 30-06 and really kind of butchered the design IMHO. But harry, i have a couple of 7.5x55 Swiss "Straight pulls" For military arms, they are absolute works of art. Especially for their time period they are perfect specimens of Swiss machining. Extreme accuracy, too! |
