kids gave us a night and dinner at Catalina for anniversary present.
Beautiful trip boat ways. Big Catamaran with twin Hamilton Jets. Leaving
MDR see the Princess Mariana yacht. Beautiful with a nice Helo for
Shortwave aboard. Find out is owned by rich Mexican and is available for
Charter. $600k a week. Go a Google. Nice stay in Avalon. And took the
Skyline tour of the inland. Stayed at Villa Porto Fino hotel. Excellent
and the attached restaurant was 4 stars. Water was on the cool side, so
some wading and no swimming. Nice getaway. Thanks kids.

Very cool! We took the SA-16 that some private company was running for
Catalina trips. http://tinyurl.com/5f8prq This was back in the mid-70s. It
would take off from the water in Long Beach harbor, but land on the
airfield at Santa Catalina. Wonder if it's still running.
