I've been hanging out in Scituate since buying the new (old) boat and
bringing it down from the North Shore last month.
My oldest grandson wants to make the trip from Scituate to Kingman on the
Cape and I've been eyeing the weather almost daily for a decent day to go.
It's only takes about three hours, but he's never been on a larger boat on
the ocean and I want his first experience to be a good one. *Seems like
everyday it's been heavy fog until late morning, then thunderstorms in the
afternoon. *Meanwhile, I've been enjoying the use of a free slip in
Scituate, thanks to the owners of the Mill Wharf Marina, but I don't want to
take advantage of it. *Hopefully we'll get a nice, clear day next week and
we'll get underway. * To my grandson, traveling down the South Shore coast,
through the Cape Cod Canal and then over to Kingman will be like traveling
across the Atlantic.

Grandkids are nothing but great!

Which gives me another excuse to show off my latest acquisition:

Seasickness and the associated mental state would not be a good way to
introduce the kid to the water!- Hide quoted text -

Well, yes, but the daughter's like it. Hell, they paid for it!

Oh crap. A punctuation boo-boo. I wonder who'll be the first to pounce upon
it.

If your kids keep going, you will have to change that every year.

I'm hoping they've stopped!

Buy them some condoms and explain how to use them.

We've seen your stupid license plate before. That's some
accomplishment, hey...buying a vanity license plate. Wowser.

Do you actually do anything these days except babysit?

You could put on a vest with lots of bling and get a job as a greeter
at Wal-Mart. Wait...you need people skills for that...

Harry,
You seem very anger recently. You need to take some deep breath and
count to 10. Relax. Maybe some mediation ....
ohhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

See that is exactly what i am talking about, you seem to have pent up
anger that is not good for your health, it can lead to many unhealthy
habits such as overeating and nail biting.

Relax, you will live longer and happier.

Updating that vanity plate could get expensive in a fertile family.

Now that comment was in poor taste. If anyone who didn't know you saw
that remark they would think you were an uneducated moron. We know
that you have multiple degrees and speak at least one language. YOU
CAN DO BETTER!
All this pent up frustration and hatred can't be good for your blood
pressure, Harry. Why don't you take a break from rec.boats for a year
or two. Your heart will thank you. Who knows, maybe you will be able
to kick the nail biting habit too.

The way I was told of this most recent pregnancy was when the daughter
handed me a $20 bill. I asked what it was for, and she said, "Your license
plate is soon to be out of date!"

Hee, hee.\
