I've been hanging out in Scituate since buying the new (old) boat and
bringing it down from the North Shore last month.
My oldest grandson wants to make the trip from Scituate to Kingman on the
Cape and I've been eyeing the weather almost daily for a decent day to go.
It's only takes about three hours, but he's never been on a larger boat on
the ocean and I want his first experience to be a good one. Seems like
everyday it's been heavy fog until late morning, then thunderstorms in the
afternoon. Meanwhile, I've been enjoying the use of a free slip in
Scituate, thanks to the owners of the Mill Wharf Marina, but I don't want to
take advantage of it. Hopefully we'll get a nice, clear day next week and
we'll get underway. To my grandson, traveling down the South Shore coast,
through the Cape Cod Canal and then over to Kingman will be like traveling
across the Atlantic.

Grandkids are nothing but great!

Which gives me another excuse to show off my latest acquisition:

Seasickness and the associated mental state would not be a good way to
introduce the kid to the water!

We've seen your stupid license plate before. That's some accomplishment,
hey...buying a vanity license plate. Wowser.

Do you actually do anything these days except babysit?

You could put on a vest with lots of bling and get a job as a greeter at
Wal-Mart. Wait...you need people skills for that...

Would you please send some Georgia.

Georgia?

If I wasn't chewing gum and typing at the same time, I would have said
"Send some down to Georgia". You know the state between SC and FL.

Harry,
You seem very anger recently. You need to take some deep breath and
count to 10. Relax. Maybe some mediation ....

You need to talk to Harry and JimH. Taking a child on a boat is FAR
too dangerous of an activity, and there are child endangerment laws to
protect them, according to those two.
