Speaking of was.. My kid just got back from a couple weeks in Turkey. Spent a week in the city, then took off hiking and hitching though the countryside. She had a planned route and accomodations waiting in several small hut towns her friends in the city called ahead for. Other than that, she was off on her own with a backpack and a good pair of sneakers. She is quite the adventurer, she has pictures for me to put up, I will keep you all posted.
