I would suggest using an old milk jug or if that seems too
complicated, just park the engine over a street drain and let it flow
into that.

Much less complicated than using an old milk container.

Some may think your opinion on this matter somewhat moronic.

Ah yes - the infamous Américains sans humour.

It is amazing to us French that you are such le porc a dirigé des
simpletons.

Non, nous sommes simplement subtils.

Get a lower unit oil pump. It screws on top of a quart jug and has a
hose that screws in the bottom plug hole. This is like the pump on a
bottle of hand soap. Then you just pump the oil in until it comes out
the top holes. That is a whole lot easier than trying to hold a bottle
up to the bottom hole, squeeze it, then get the top plugs in before it
comes "unsquoze". I always end up spilling as much as I squirt and you
never seem to be able to get more than 3/4 of it out of the bottle.
I use a real drain pan with a screw on cap (for draining) that is big
enough to catch all drips. They have them at any auto parts store.
Those stores will usually take back the used oil for recycling.

I bought one of those gear oil pumps last fall to change the oil in my
new-to-me Johnson 25.
The pump was cheap and made the job so easy.
