have been the highway, but the heat and pressure of having taken in
moisture? If they are not kept pumped up, they can still take in
moisture. I have had no problems with them, ever..

Nope, crappy roads. The seals will not hold enough pressure to blow out
the hubs with interference fit, I even added set screws, We are a bankruot
state that passed a law that highway funds had to be spent on highways, but
the Legislature and Govenator still insist on borrowing the money for the
general fundl. Interstates with potholes, and major cracks. Washington
state also has bad interstates, Oregon spends it's highway dollars on
roads. Last year, I lost a buddy and discovered the axle shot about 50
miles into Oregon. Replaced the axle and on the other axle lost a BB about
50 miles into Washington. Discovered that one shortly after it left.

difference except for the packaging. I've never had a problem with
either.

I suspect they are made by the same company and marketed seperate.
I've gone over them, compared side-by-each, measured and even took

BBs are SS. Fultons are plated pot metal. Price being equal, I'd go with BB.

You won't really know what's in the hubs unless you take them apart wash the
old grease out and repack with your preferred grease.
The trailer Mfr. might have used 1 product and the dealer might have used
something else to top off. Compatibility issues?
I bought an axle once that came packed with the thick stringy stuff. I had
to do the afore mentioned process to use my preferred grease. If your
trailer has brakes, you might need a special hi-temp grease.

No brakes, but this is starting to sound like a huge PITA. I may just wait
until the end of the season and install and repack at the same time.

..... or you can always replace the whole thing with the "oil bath"
type hubs. I bought a trailer with those recently but the jury will be
out for a few years while I decide whether or not I prefer them.
